Bio/Experience

Joy Comber is a Senior Associate in Sherwin O’ Riordan.

With over 19 years’ experience, Joy advises commercial clients on all aspects of property law with particular focus on commercial leasing, property acquisitions and disposals, property investment including co-ownership, joint ventures and sale and leaseback transactions, property- based lending and property aspects of corporate transactions and insolvency cases.

Joy has extensive experience in a wide variety of property transactions advising clients on complicated titles, management company structures, licensing, landlord and tenant, planning and construction issues. She acts for various corporate clients in relation to the purchase and sale of property and for landlords and tenants in relation to the lease of office, retail and industrial space. Joy has significant experience advising domestic and international financial institutions in property secured lending transactions and insolvency practitioners in relation to the management and disposal property portfolios.

She has a comprehensive understanding of the complex legal and business issues associated with commercial property transactions and regularly advises domestic and international companies, investors, semi-state bodies, international investment funds and financial institutions on acquiring, leasing, developing, funding, management and disposing of property.

Joy qualified as a solicitor in Ireland in 2000 and has a LL.B degree from Trinity College Dublin (1995) and a LL.M degree from London School of Economics (1996).
